Jane Morrison has a passionate interest in photography. Over the last ten years her interest in photography has grown and she has attended many courses to improve her technical knowledge. She is a member of the Centre for Contemporary Photography. She has sold a number of large format prints, been included on websites, commissioned to take colour and black and white portraits, has collected a portfolio of documentary photographs, and was the official photographer at the opening of the Mission to Seamen 2006 Art Exhibition.
Having been a teacher for fifteen years where she developed and wrote curriculum, she then started a business, Edplus Pty Ltd, creating educational videos for school. Lately she has been tutoring at the University of Melbourne in the Education Faculty, teaching a subject entitled Education Policy in Schools and Society.
In March, she was commissioned by Helifilms Australia, as the only still photographer in the helicopters over the Commonwealth Games Opening and Closing Ceremonies. Some extraordinary shots of the Melbourne Cricket Ground were captured using the Digital Canon EOS Mark 1 camera.
An exhibition is planned for the near future to be held in Docklands.
